Good coverage in the angling press of the FISSTA Angljng and wild salmon conservation campaign. Both the Trout & Salmon and Irish Country Sports and Country Life have our articles. Support them by buying the latest issue in the shops from next Tuesday.
FISSTA Chairman Paul Lawton has appealed to all in angling to support FISSTA and Tafi’s Gweebarra 3 campaign in conjunction with the Donegal Game Anglers Federation whose members are facing serious legal charges in the courts at present. Fissta PRO and Secretary Noel Carr is coordinating the campaign along with Tafi Chairman Charles Kennedy. IFI have singled out three prominent protesters John Boyle Rosses Anglers, and two from Cumann Iascairi Baile Na Finne Runai Peadar o Baoill and Sean R O Baoill and are in the Supreme Court appeal at present.
SAD TO ANNOUNCE
In the middle of an angling federations meeting last Friday night in Dublin Bob Seward from the breakaway salmon and seatrout rec anglers if Ireland or sstrai called STRAY let it slip that they supported the Ifi legal action against the 3 anglers defending the taking of our traditional club waters on the Gweebarra river in Donegal. Such betrayal of anglers rights were rewarded by grants to aci and board appointment to sstrai. This treachery will never be forgotten.
